The ACT test is geared towards evaluating college readiness in high school students and is accepted by all US colleges. It is incredibly different from the SAT in terms of form and strategy. The ACT is a test made up of 5 sections that include English, Math, Reading, Science, and an Essay. It is highly recommended that students commit to 24 hours of tutoring prior to taking this test.
A diagnostic test is offered and recommended prior to the start of individual sessions if the student has not yet taken the ACT. Our tutors will then be able to personalize the sessions and focus on the areas that need the most improvement first.
The SAT is a test that is incredibly popular among high school students who are seeking to further their education. It is a test that is accepted by virtually all US colleges and universities and is used as one of the key components in the freshman admissions process.

SAT Subject Tests are another tool that can be used during the college admissions process. The tests can also be used for course placement and class selection. Some colleges recommend a particular number of subject tests be taken while others require a specific number of tests be taken. The Subject Tests are available to take on the same day as the SAT, and students can choose to take up to 3 tests in one day. All tests are 60 minutes in length and multiple choice. The Secondary School Admissions Test, also known as SSAT, is one of several tests that students may be asked to take when they seek admission to a private school. Not only can the test be used as one of the deciding factors of admission, but it can also be used to determine whether the student should be placed in advanced classes.
The test is always administered on Saturday and is offered 8 times a year. The test is used to measure verbal, quantitative and reading skills with a specific focus on problem solving and critical thinking.
Three levels of SSAT are offered and they are as follows:
Elementary Level: for students who are in 3rd and 4th grade and wanting to apply for 4th and 5th grade admission.
Middle Level: for students 5th through 7th grade and wanting to apply for 6th through 8th grade admission.

The Independent School Entrance Exam, also known as the ISEE, is one of the tests that private school candidates may take which can be used as one of the deciding factors for admission. The ISEE is similar to the SSAT in terms of test matter and time; however, there are several differences. Instead of analogies, there are sentence completions in the Verbal section and in one of the Math portions there is a comparison section that does not appear in the SSAT.
The ISEE test dates are flexible. The student registers in advance, and chooses his/her own location and testing time. There are four ISEE levels offered:
Primary: for students wanting to attend private school in grades 2-4 (available online only)
Lower: for students wanting to attend private school in grades 5-6 (available online and pencil/paper format)
